I Lost 40 Pounds to Play Michael Myers

I lost 40 pounds to finally become the screen-accurate 1978 Michael Myers I dreamed of as a kid. Join me as I unbox the wearable build, revisit 30 years of Myers cosplay, and reveal the final Nick Castle-inspired costume.

I lost 40 pounds to finally become the screen-accurate 1978 Michael Myers I used to fantasize about in my youth.

This is the sequel to my Building The ULTIMATE 1978 Michael Myers LIFE-SIZE Display video. I unbox and review the wearable build, including my NAG/JC 75K Castle mask, Creepy Customs Tradewear v3 coveralls, Vietnam-era jungle boots and Case 102-12 knife replica, all inspired by Nick Castle’s original Shape.

Then we rewind through 30 years of Myers cosplay, from store-bought garbage and pre-internet limitations to the indy artists, masks, head-measurement mishaps and hard lessons that led here. The documentary segment includes vintage VHS home videos and tons of pics that show the slow transformation from a store-bought, bootleg boogeyman, to an effigy of evil that could’ve walked right off the screen.

It culminates with my weight loss and two-part, full-suit reveal. The display Myers is still lurking in the background, but this time, The Shape is me. 🎃🔪
