How LeBron James deals with FAIL

For a guy who makes the ball boy scrape his clothes off the floor instead of politely handing them to him as he reaches; for a guy who makes fun of another professional athlete after he had the guts to play with a 100+ degree temperature; for a guy who insults the entire working class of America because they couldn’t help but laugh when he FAILED once again after this side show carnival…

“At the end of the day, all of the people that were rooting for me to fail, tomorrow they’ll have to wake up and have the same life that [they had] before they woke up today. They got the same personal problems they had today and I’m going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things I want to do.”

-LeBron James

Really? This is how you deal with fail???? After you sold your soul and whored out Cleveland, somehow blaming them because YOU were not good enough to win a championship? Dragging on The Decision like a Brett Favre Summer Special (still love ya, Brett). Taking your drama to South Beach to form a super group at Miami and hyping yourselves out of the park.

Anything less than a championship = fail? Hey, you said it.

Yea, we wake up the way we were the day before. We go to work, punch the clock, and deal with our lives. You go out and probably blow $10,000 twice a day, just because you can. You have millions, we don’t. Yep — we’re us and you’re you.

And we have the same number of rings.

Bitch.

In Memory of the Macho Man Randy Savage

When the Macho Man was on screen, something different was going on. You didn’t have that safe, “oh, it’s just a show” feeling. Randy knew how to kick it up several notches.

Without a doubt, one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He will be sorely missed.

My memories of Randy date back to when I was eight years old. He was involved in some of the most intense feuds the business has ever known. From Hulk Hogan, to the Ultimate Warrior, to Jake Roberts, to Ric Flair, to Crush and beyond. When the Macho Man was on screen, something different was going on. You didn’t have that safe, “oh, it’s just a show” feeling. Randy knew how to kick it up several notches. So much that even the most skeptical, full grown adults in the house would be holding their breath thinking to themselves “Oh my God! That wasn’t supposed to happen…”

Props to my Louisville Cardinals!

In one season, new head coach Charlie Strong led the Cards to a .500 regular season finish, first bowl game since 2006-07, bowl victory, and landed the biggest recruit in this program’s history.

Awesome comeback victory tonight in the Beef O’Brady’s Bowl defeating Southern Miss. This win marks Louisville’s return to relevancy after spending three miserable years in Kragthorpian hell. In one season, new head coach Charlie Strong led the Cards to a .500 regular season finish, first bowl game since 2006-07, bowl victory, and landed the biggest recruit in this program’s history.

Five-star QB Teddy Bridgewater has committed to the Ville, giving the Cards some SOLID momentum heading into Charlie Strong’s 2nd season next year. This coupled with the team coming off a spectacular bowl win tonight is like an adrenaline injection for a program that dwelt in horrid mediocrity under Dr. Fail Steve Kragthorpe for what seemed like a small eternity.

Welcome back Cards! Awesome win tonight! Onward and upward!

Very cool.

Louisville Cardinals Home Fight Montage (2008-09)

This is a video I put together from a couple recordings of the pre-game fight video captured by fans at Freedom Hall during the 2008-09 season when the Cards were the #1 overall seed in the NCAA Tourney. Good times.

Favre Returns to the Vikings

FAVRE RULES!

Looking forward to one more year from the greatest.

EDIT 12.22.2010

Well, it hasn’t been the greatest season for Brett or the Vikes. Sucks to see it end this way for a living legend, but that in no way takes away from what this man has accomplished. I’ll always remember the guts, talent, and HEART Favre displayed week in and out during the tenure of his storied career. Props to the true Rocky Balboa of the NFL, and the best damn QB to ever put on a pair of pads. Love ya, Brett.
