One of the best reviews of the kit yet! He didn't show off the menu or options, but very enjoyable to watch! https://t.co/2fd6WwLsHx
Seems like every summer is worse than the last. The current stretch of days where the heat index surpasses 100° is like the front row seat in Hell that I never asked for. I miss walking in my favorite cemetery at night. I miss hiking through the woods and making outdoor videos. As I sit here and reminisce I’m reminded that relief isn’t too far off. Sitting right at 60 days at the time of publishing, Autumn is like a lone glimmer of light glistening in the distance as we mercilessly navigate a raging sea of black fire and hazy misery. The sun, or cancer ball as I’ve recently named it, looms overhead like an angry god punishing all the puny life below with furious vengeance. Only the Autumnal Equinox can save us.
Just like last year, that first 65° day will probably see me tearing my own shirt off and looking to the skies above in total euphoria. It can’t get here a moment too soon. Clean air, crunchy leaves, beautiful colors, cool breeze, and Halloween! I need it! All of it! Get here! NOW!
I was looking for this video recently on the WWE Network, and as expected, when I found it, I realized the Kid Rock song Lonely Road of Faith, had been stripped out with some generic instrumental treatment inserted in it’s place. Talk about pulling the proverbial rug out from under my nostalgic feet. The Kid Rock track totally made this particular video, and was the primary reason it always stuck out in my mind as the best tribute WWF/E ever put together.
Although copies of the original video are still floating around out there on sites like YouTube and Dailymotion, the quality of these old rips are severely lacking. I took it upon myself to totally recreate this video in HD using the best footage available. I cut the Kid Rock track exactly the same way as WWF’s original ’02 edit. Everything is exactly the way you remember it, save for one small, but extremely important alteration. During the final montage of significant WWF Champions, the Ultimate Warrior has been added in the timeline as he should have been in 2002, but was likely omitted due to the on-going heat between he and the company during that time.
Hope you guys enjoy the video. It still gives me goosebumps after watching it three dozen times during the process of this re-creation.
I can’t remember the last time any game took over a part of my psyche…
The other night (or day, depending on how you look at it), as I was fighting the good fight against insomnia and catching a few z’s, I had a very vivid dream. I was on pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago in Spain, somewhere mid-route, and encountered one of my favorite celebrities. We sat down and had a long chat about life and random miscellany. Favorite foods, movies, music, and discussing how we’d chosen to take this journey and our individual reasons for doing so. Eventually the conversation took a deep turn and she began to open up to me about issues she was dealing with in her life and career. She revealed to me she was very sad and lonely, and had been struggling mightily to keep herself in the game, and in life essentially. Being a person who typically likes to reach out and help anyone suffering from depression, I offered my perspective. We discovered among our common vernacular a sense of rapport, and philosophical understanding. The convo became very personal, inspirational, and touching. She began to tear up and sob happily as we shared a couple laughs and a warm embrace. She didn’t want to let go. I could feel her sadness and was happy to be a lone beacon in what she described as a sea of black and icy abandon. Making it more special was the realization that this was someone I had spent years admiring and appreciating, and now, here she was in my arms and listening to me as I relished the opportunity to do something meaningful for her. In a way, it reminded me of the time I talked someone down from killing themself in real life, and I’ve no doubt the endearing memory of that night was lending itself to this vibrant excursion deep into my own psychological abstrusity. It was the type of dream that only comes along once in a great while. The kind that is so vivid and lifelike, where the word surreal often gets reversed, and we wake up wiping away real tears and thinking about said-reverie the majority of our day. This was my dream, and it was easily in the running to make my all-time top 3 favorite, most inspirational dreams I’ve ever had. Read more “Friday the 13th: The Game is Now in my Dreams”
