  • 6.27.22 – People have asked over the years if I’m still doing this. The answer is yes. I still fill orders when I get them. The entire catalog is still available with the same free shipping deal. New releases? That never officially stopped. But, with all the issues UofL has dealt with combined with the demand for physical media dwindling, there just hasn’t been much worth commemorating over the last five years unfortunately.

However, I was paying close attention to the Lady Cards and their Final Four run this season along with keeping an eye on the baseball crew’s attempt to make the College World Series. Sadly, things didn’t pan out.

    Hope everyone has been well.

  • 2.3.17 – New disc, Card Fam! You knew it was coming….. Kentucky/Indiana is here! Both games on one disc, full 1080, no commercials, free shipping!

  • 9.26.16 – The brand new College Gameday disc is here! You asked for it, you got it! Wanted to get this one out as soon as I could for you guys. It’s LOADED with goodies!

  • 8.23.16 – Don’t miss the sale on the ND/UK 2014 disc! Only $10! Also, the recent site overhaul has caused some of the structuring on this post to fall a bit out of whack. I’ve corrected the worst of it and got everything functioning again, though you may notice a little misalignment here and there. Will correct this when time permits.

  • 7.1.16 – They’re here!

  • 6.19.16 – I’ve made significant progress on the new discs over the last two weeks and all three are nearing completion. I’d say one more week and they’ll be ready to roll out. Stay tuned!

  • 6.4.16 – New discs are coming along nicely. Taking a bit longer than expected due to my schedule getting crazy hectic. But, things have somewhat calmed a bit and I can get back on these and should be able to complete them now. Some insight on the upcoming releases; one is a football disc which will have the UK game and Music City Bowl with Texas A&M. Work has progressed steadily and both games look fantastic. Another blu will be a hoops disc featuring the Cards triumphs over ACC kings UNC and Duke. Beating both in the same season is a feat which should be commemorated, so they’ll definitely be getting some love. Lastly, there just might be a third disc as well. Details on that one soon! Back to work I go! Thanks for being patient as I’ve had to take a bit longer to get caught up. You’ll be hearing from me again really soon. Promise!

    DISCLAIMER

The donation for these discs is strictly for covering the production materials used and shipping charges. NOT profiteering off a copyrighted broadcast. I am bringing these games to Louisville fans in high def because they are not currently available any where else and the fans want to cherish the most amazing year in Cardinal athletics forever in the best possible quality currently available. Moreover, there are also several vendors out there who have ripped fans off by advertising blu-ray versions of these games and when purchased they actually ship a DVD to the customer.

If you’re not sure who I am and are a little wary about making a donation — I encourage you to check the feedback left by your fellow Card fans in the comments section of these posts: Post 1, Post 2, Post 3, Post 4 — as well as these testimonials via Twitter:

I make trips to the post office every day. Sometimes more than once. Donate with confidence!

If you have any questions, feel free to shoot’em my way — lordkayoss@gmail.com

    Thanks and GO CARDS!!!

NOTE — These Blu-rays will NOT play on the new Xbox One (or the older 360), as the console does not support BD-R discs (confirmed on Microsoft’s support site).

However, the discs WILL play on the PS4 (& PS3).

Cards took on two ranked arch-rivals in Kentucky and Indiana during the 2016-17 season and did not disappoint. This marks the first time Louisville has beaten both teams when they were ranked in the same season since 2003 (the Kentucky game especially is a barn-burner). A Cards win over both the Wildcats and the Hoosiers definitely deserves a spot in your media case. #L1C4

  • NOTE — Why $25 on this one and most of the others (including the UK/Cuse Dbl Feature) are $20?

This disc is a double-layer, 50GB Blu-ray which is more expensive than the single-layer, 25GB discs that three of the other releases use. Double storage capacity, double cost for me to buy them (even in bulk). The $5 increase on these is still one helluva deal, trust me.

Features both the Music City Bowl against Texas A&M and rivalry thriller with Kentucky. Budding star Lamar Jackson shines in both outings as Louisville dispatches two SEC teams in one disc. UofL dashed Kentucky’s bowl game hopes en route to a Music City Bowl W against the Aggies. Good Cards fun!

Two of the most exciting home games of the 2015-16 season. Louisville welcomes historic ACC kings North Carolina and Duke and whips them both. Cards rally from behind in both games and come back to dramatic victories. The Duke game is especially electric. Cards down big, furious comeback, gallant W, and seriously… does anyone ever get tired of seeing Grayson Allen popped in the mouth? I don’t.

  • The 1980 and 1986 National Championship games against UCLA and Duke are finally together on one disc! Sit back and watch the Cards win their first two titles led by legendary alumni Darrell Griffith and Pervis Ellison. The Bruins and Blue Devils were tough, talented, and ready to play. But Louisville, led by Hall of Fame coach Denny Crum, proved too much in the end as they cemented their place among the nation’s elite basketball programs.

Also! The disc includes a very special bonus game featuring a 1990 exhibition at Freedom Hall pitting the two championship teams against each other in a Battle of the Champions to see which squad deserves the right to be called kings! The 1980 team, led by Darrell Griffith, take on Pervis Ellison and the 1986 squad in a dream match every die-hard Cards fan needs to see.

All three games were upscaled from standard definition. Games from as long as 35 years ago aren’t quite as flashy as contemporary programming, but they upscaled fine and will still look great on your HDTV nonetheless. This is another great keeper for your UofL library.

Finally! We have a brand new UofL basketball bluray! This is the first hoops release in nearly two years, and my most requested two games from the 2014-15 season are here!

Rick Pitino was riding an 0-6 all-time losing streak to North Carolina when the 13th ranked Tar Heels visited the Yum Center on January 31, 2015. After falling behind by 18 points, the Cards rallied behind Montrezl Harrell and blazed an incredible comeback that resulted in a 10-point overtime victory. Lots of fireworks in this one including a monstrous alley-oop slam by Montrezl Harrell.

Louisville handed #2 Virginia their only road loss of the year in the season finale at the Yum Center. A very tightly contested game that went all the way down to the wire, capped off by a stellar 15-foot jumper by Mangok Mathiang put the Cavaliers away and earned Louisville their biggest win of the season.

This is as much Cards entertainment I could cram into a single layer disc. Capacity was stretched to the limit to squeeze it all in and I believe you’ll be very pleased with the result.

  • vs. NORTH CAROLINA — Full Game
  • vs. VIRGINIA — Full Game

Card fans! The first post-Year of the Cardinal Bluray is here, and it’s a good one! A fully loaded double-layer disc featuring the two most exciting games of the 2014 season. Our gridiron Cards marched into South Bend for the first time ever and scored a historic win over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish which means Louisville now has a winning record against one of college football’s most traditional powerhouse programs. Relive the back-and-fourth slugfest and all the missed-kick drama in beautiful high-def in it’s entirety, fully commercial-free.

Headlining the disc is a game that rocked the Bluegrass State to it’s core. In the season-finale, Kentucky came into Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on a mission; to break their 3-game losing streak to the Cards, take home the Governor’s Cup, and become bowl eligible. The Cats were seemingly on their way to accomplishing just that before UofL’s backup (but starting) quarterback Reggie Bonnafon went down with an injury. Enter third-string QB Kyle Bolin who changed the entire flow of the game almost instantly. It was a knock-down, drag out brawl all the way down to the final possession as Louisville and Kentucky put on what was perhaps the best rivalry game ever played between the two teams. Definitely a must-own for every die-hard Cards fanatic!

This is the most stacked and loaded disc I have made to date! Over 6 hours of UofL entertainment!

This disc was diligently put together and turned out pretty damn good if I do say so myself. The video quality is fabulous. The copy you receive won’t actually be a copy at all. Not copying these from a master disc. You will be getting a blu-ray disc burned directly from the ISO image itself. Full high def with no loss of quality.

I’ve seen DVD listings on ebay going for as much as $25 (plus shipping). Who wants to pay nearly $30 for an outdated format that isn’t going to look pretty on your flashy Smart TV? I’m offering the game on bluray for my fellow Card Chronicle fans for only a $20 donation (shipping included).

Also! Don’t be duped! There is a certain Cards Superstore in town that is using my National Championship and Sugar Bowl blu-rays to advertise their DVD’s. Yes, you read that correctly! I visited the place just a couple weeks ago and noticed the Sugar Bowl playing on all their high-def TV’s. I stood around and watched it for a second and recognized my work. I casually asked the girls at the counter what version of the Sugar Bowl was playing. I was told it was the DVD release and was politely pointed toward their glass case where sure enough, they had both the National Championship and Sugar Bowl DVD’s for sale — for $25 a piece. You kiddin’ me? Don’t be fooled! There is only one version of these two games available on blu-ray, and you’re looking at them. Don’t pay more for the standard version!

    DISC PREVIEW

    [jwplayer mediaid=”315″]

I was able to spend a little extra time on this one and the finished product is ready to dazzle Card fans who’ve been waiting to get this game in high def. Not only does the network refuse to spend the money on a high def home release of the game, I’ve even read rumblings that certain sites advertise the game in bluray format, but when ordered, the product that actually arrives at your home is a DVD.

Screw that. We fans deserve better.

Just like with the NCAA Basketball Championship Bluray, this disc is 100% legit and ready to fill your fancy TV screen with the Cards dancing all over Florida’s faces. Once again, I’m offering the game on bluray for my fellow Card Chronicle fans for only a $20 donation (shipping included).

The two most requested games from the 2013 NCAA tournament (after the NC of course) arrive together on one special edition blu-ray!

Louisville takes on Duke in a highly anticipated Elite Eight rematch between coaches Rick Pitino and Mike Krzyzewski. First time the two have squared off in the tournament since the epic UK/Duke showdown from 1992.

The two teams pick up right where they left off from the early season match from the Battle 4 Atlantis. The game is again closely contested before the gruesome injury to Louisville guard Kevin Ware. The Cardinals are devastated, but rally together in honor of their fallen teammate to emerge victorious and punch their second consecutive ticket to the Final Four.

Wichita St comes out strong and takes Louisville out of their game. Handing the Cards their largest deficit of the entire tournament, the Shockers remain in control of the game throughout the first half and much of the second. Then, Louisville walk-on Tim Henderson steps up to nail two big 3-pointers to begin yet another Cards comeback. By the last few minutes of the game, the two teams are trading shots all the way down to the final horn.

This disc delivers the dazzling high-def quality you expect with crisp, digital sound. It is LOADED with content and as always, commercial free! Definitely not one to be missed!

This new double-feature blu-ray combines the previously released Kentucky/Syracuse bundle together on one disc. As my blu-ray library grows, so does cost and production time. Combining these two releases allows me to keep delivering the ultimate high-def experience to CardNation while keeping costs at bargain prices.

Louisville welcomes arch-rival Kentucky to the YUM! with open arms……………and raining jumpers, blow-bys, steals, and dunks. UK’s latest crop of young blood gets taken to the learning tree. After falling behind by 17 points, Kentucky rallies back and makes the rivalry game a fight to the finish.

The final tournament championship game of the original Big East conference. Louisville defends it’s league championship from the year prior against conference icon Syracuse. After falling behind by 16, the Cards mount an incredible comeback in the second half. Riding outstanding guard-play, stingy defense, and the emergence of freshman forward Montrezl Harrell, Louisville close out the Big East at Madison Square Garden and turn back the challenge of the Orange, retaining their conference title in another classic Rick Pitino-style comeback.

For your viewing pleasure, the original main menu highlight video from the first edition Lou/Cuse Blu-ray. Back by popular request.

The Russell Athletic Bowl blu-ray is here!!!!!

Teddy Bridgewater’s final ride as a Louisville Cardinal was also one of his finest. Breaking his own single-game record by throwing for 447 yards, Teddy’s arm blazed through the Miami defense as the Cards put a stern whuppin’ on their long-time rival, closing out the Big East/American era before the program moves into the ACC in 2014.

The 11-1 Cards dominated the Hurricanes and punctuated one of the winningest seasons of Cardinal football history. Now is your chance to own this memorial homage to one of the greatest players to ever don the red and white. Teddy Bridgewater would announce his decision to forego his senior season and declare for the NFL draft just days after this game. Enjoy his brilliance as a UofL Card as often as you want in full high-def, commercial-free glory right in the comfort of your own living room.

    *Why the red case?

This is my own custom DE-BLUE’D version of the game, meaning you will NOT be constantly reminded that Louisville basketball lost the rivalry game down I-64 earlier that day as you enjoy the Russell Athletic Bowl. I personally had enough of the incessant reminders watching the RAB live and don’t need to hear the announcers repeatedly reference how supposedly depressed I am every time I want to pop in the blu-ray and see Teddy Bowl Game do his thing. All references to the basketball game including ESPN captions, announcer’s commentaries, and video highlights have been stripped.

Over 6 hours of UofL entertainment!

    FAQ

Do you have DVD versions of these discs?

Will these discs work on a standard DVD player?

Can I play the blu-rays on my video game console(s)?

What brand blu-ray player do you recommend?

How long will my order take to ship after I complete my donation?

Do I have to register on your site before I can make a donation?

Are there two versions of the Sugar Bowl disc?

Do you have DVD versions of these discs?

As of right now, the only blu-ray that has a DVD counterpart is the National Championship. It is a bare-bones version that includes the game (commercial-free) with some post-game coverage, but no special features menu. It was as much as I could fit onto a double-layer, 8.5GB DVD disc. Honestly, I don’t recommend it. It’s in standard-def and custom DVD’s always seem a bit choppy at times during playback on home players. But, if you want a copy, please email me directly at lordkayoss@gmail.com and I can make one for you. However, I strongly recommend the blu-ray versions.

Will these discs work on a standard DVD player?

No. Blu-ray is a separate format from DVD and BR discs require a blu-ray player. Think VHS/Beta. Very similar concept, but they are completely different formats. When people refer to blu-ray discs as blu-ray DVD’s, that’s like calling a VCR tape a VHS Beta. A lot of people confuse the two formats and I think this is where a lot of the uncertainty comes from with what type of player is needed for blu-ray. While most blu-ray players are backwards-compatible with DVD’s, a DVD player is NOT equipped to play blu-rays.

Can I play the blu-rays on my video game console(s)?

If you have a Sony Playstation 3 or a Playstation 4, yes. Both consoles are equipped to play any type of blu-ray disc you put in them. The Xbox One, however, does not support playback of BD-R discs which unfortunately means the blu-rays offered here will not work with it. The older Xbox 360 uses HD-DVD format and cannot play blu-rays at all.

What brand blu-ray player do you recommend?

You absolutely can’t go wrong with a Sony. Here’s one for less than $100 that has built-in WiFi. I use these myself in two rooms in my house and have never had one problem out of either one of them. Don’t forget to pick up an HDMI cable.

How long will my order take to ship after I complete my donation?

Normally, I get all orders out within 24 hours. If demand is high and my stock gets depleted and has to be rebuilt, sometimes I can get a tad behind while I catch up. I’m a one-man show and rebuilding stock can take a few days. In these cases I will update on Twitter and keep everyone in the loop on progress and target shipping days using the hashtag #LKdeal. These instances are few and far between, however. In most cases, especially if you live in Louisville or a surrounding area, you’ll receive your order in 2-3 business days.

Do I have to register on your site before I can make a donation?

No. Registration on my site is only required if you want to leave comments on posts. All you need to make a donation is a PayPal account.

Are there two versions of the Sugar Bowl disc?

Technically, there is only one. The newer intro to reflect the return of Bobby Petrino is the disc that ships by default when ordered. However, if you prefer the original intro tailored to Charlie Strong turning down Tennessee to stay at Louisville for one more year, it is available upon request. When donating for the Sugar Bowl, just let me know that you’d like the first release with the old Charlie intro and I’ll happily send that one to you instead.
